PWM European Forum to discuss Ucits III
The Italian investment market is set for a shake up as the Ucits III directive comes into force and open architecture begins to really take hold. The first of the European Fund Series of conferences, to be staged by PWM and BNP Paribas in Milan, will examine the implications of these developments, focusing on issues of investment product design and distribution.
Speakers include Giovanni Landi, CEO, Nextra Investment Management, and Eugenio Namor, CEO, San Paolo IMI Asset Management. They will discuss the new generation of investment products facilitated by Ucits III, including the development of funds to protect against market downsides, apart from structured products, and new applications of derivatives, such as the creation of absolute return products.
Marco Campizi, director general of Consuela Instituzionale, a pioneer in open architecture in Italy, will reveal the secrets of selecting managers and underlying mandates. He will suggest asset allocation strategies and how to monitor fund managers.
Complimentary places are available for retail and private bankers, fund managers, heads of distribution and wealth managers. Participants are invited from Italy and elswhere in Europe.
The event will be held on the afternoon of June 14 at the Four Seasons Hotel, Milan. Sessions will be in Italian, with simultaneous translation into English if required.
