PWM invites all distributors and manufacturers active in the German investment market to an afternoon seminar to be held in Frankfurt on 22 February.

The conference will draw from the experiences of key practitioners and will include a presentation from Rudolf Siebel, the highly outspoken managing director of the BVI, Germany’s mutual funds association. The German language debate will centre on regulations including the recently enacted hedge funds law, the effect of Ucits III legislation and the lack of a level playing field between providers of investment funds and structured products.

The programme will also include a panel discussion featuring representatives of Germany’s leading banks, and offer a critical appraisal of the movement to guided architecture distribution of investments, with the appointment of a limited number of third-party fund providers, as pioneered by Deutsche Bank and Commerzbank.

This is the third in the European Fund Series of country conferences, sponsored by BNP Paribas Asset Management. If follows on from successful events in Milan and Madrid, each of which attracted more than 120 delegates. To register, please contact Mike Barker on michael.barker@ft.com.
