The role played by foreign managers, selection of funds by distributors and the evolution of advice will be among the key subjects discussed at a PWM afternoon seminar to be held in Milan on 18 October. This is the second annual Milan event, part of the successful European Fund Series, supported by BNP Paribas Asset Management. It will be held at the Hotel Principe di Savoia, in Milan’s Piazza della Republica. Speakers will include Sandro Pierri, chief executive of Pioneer Investment Management, Eugenio Namor, chief executive of Sanpaolo IMI Asset Management, Attilio Ferrari, chief executive of leading retail house Arca and Vincenzo Bafuno, chief executive of Unicredit’s open architecture banking subsidiary, Xelion Banca. Other major financial institutions active in Italy, including Mediolanum, Banca Fideuram, FinecoBank and Deutsche Bank will also be represented at a senior management level. Last year, 150 practitioners attended this Italian language event, and preparations have already been made for an even larger number of delegates this year. The event is open to all PWM readers, to representatives of Italian banks, fund managers, insurance companies and brokerages. Independent advisers and promotori are also welcome. There are free places available to delegates from these areas. Foreign firms looking to do business in Italy are also invited. To register, call: 44 (0) 20 7382 8184, e-mail finance.event@ft.com or visit www.ftbusinessevents.com.
