“I believe certain parts of Europe are in a depression never mind a recession. I believe European banks will require more money. Most Europeans do not realise banks have already been bailed out twice with their money. I am genuinely surprised by the passive nature of the Irish electorate and the Spanish youth and we should not be surprised to see political and economic implications if this passive disposition changes. Despite all the bad news in Europe, there are opportunities in equities and we are maintaining our exposure. Investing is based on relative selection or indeed elimination.”
