“March represented a buoyant month for the markets, especially for equities, with many countries/regions delivering high single digit returns. It was not a surprise to see Nevsky Global at the top of the leader, in absolute and relative terms, which is pleasing in both regards. One situation that has caught our eye from a laggard, is our Gartmore European fund where the management passed from Roger Guy to John Bennett. Performance here has been slightly lacklustre, relative to peer group, by its own high standards. But it is early days for the new manager and we are certainly not making a snap judgment on this just yet.”
