“After the relatively cumbersome month of March, most international stock markets ended April with a positive performance. The euro continued its upward movement against the dollar and rose to 1.4826, mostly due to the fact that Standard & Poor’s cut its US rating outlook to negative. The credit rating is still AAA, but large budget deficits and the increasing federal debt could lead to a future downgrade.
Our portfolio, which is allocated according to C-Quadrat Best Fonds Strategy, reacted to this market environment with an increase in its equity and commodity exposure.”
