Merrill Lynch opens up international range

Merrill Lynch’s new non-US wealth management division, International Private Client, has unveiled its first series of products. John Morris, the division’s product development chief, said the range was developed in response to clients’ requests for enhanced asset allocation, investment protection and diversification. The suite includes conservative, balanced, long-term growth and aggressive growth strategies. CSAM wins licence for ETFs linked to Dow Investors can now buy exchange traded funds (ETFs) linked to the Dow Jones Banks Titans 30, Dow Jones Technology Titans 30 and Dow Jones Healthcare Titans 30. The first ETF licence on these indices has been issued to Credit Suisse Asset Management. Michael A. Petronella, managing director of Dow Jones Indexes, said: “The Dow Jones sector Titans indexes allow investors to add a global sector component to their portfolios in an easy and efficient way.” Christows offers choice from five portfolios Private client stockbroker and portfolio manager Christows has entered the multi-manager arena. The UK firm is launching an actively managed discretionary portfolio service for individuals with over E40,000 to invest. Exchange traded funds will be on the menu alongside traditional products. Investors will be offered a range of five portfolios, each with its own risk profile: managed growth, overseas growth, worldwide growth, rising income and high yield. Robin O’Grady, sales director, said: “The factor most professional advisers find appealing is that this new service allows them to delegate day-to-day investment management and fund selection to us.”
