“In August we sold out the M&G UK Recovery Fund and increased the European equity portion, building a position in Oyster European Opportunities. During the month, we got good contribution to the performance from MFS European Equity, Vontobel US Value and Templeton Mutual Discovery. On the more style-biased funds, results were disappointing. The bond portion of our portfolio remains invested in pure Government bond funds, as we maintain our conservative approach.”
